
Jack is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a degree in Marketing. He began his career in the computer industry but eventually decided his interests lay elsewhere. In 1979 he purchased a small share of an insurance agency and began a sales career in property and liability insurance for commercial businesses. In 1983 he opened a branch office of a Jackson, Michigan agency in Lansing, Michigan. He later purchased this branch, forming Voss Insurance Services in 1991. Under Jack’s direction, the business has flourished. Jack has become a leader in both the insurance industry and the local community. Jack served for two years as the FACTS Committee Chair of the Michigan Association of Insurance Agents (MAIA). He is a member and past President of the Lansing Lions Club. He is also an active member of River Terrace Church and the Lansing Handball Club. Jack lives in Okemos with his wife Carol and enjoys spending time with family including seven grandchildren. He is an avid Lake Michigan fisherman.
Scott Voss joined Voss Insurance Services in 1992 after several years in property management and commercial real estate leasing. Scott began his career focusing on insurance and risk management for commercial clients, and this remains his focus today. In 1997, Scott was appointed Vice President of Voss Insurance Services. In 1999, he earned the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). In 2002, Scott was named Young Agent of the Year by the Michigan Association of Insurance Agents. In 2007, Scott became President of Voss Insurance Services. Scott Voss holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Michigan State University. He resides in Williamston and enjoys spending time with his kids, boating, hunting, fishing, and attending sporting events.
Vickey joined the agency in 2010 and has over 6 years experience in the insurance industry. Vickey has earned a Chartered Benefit Consultant (CBC), Certified Authority on Workmen's Compensation (CAWC) and an Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designation. Vickey is a licensed property & casualty agent and focuses on commercial business insurance and risk management services. Vickey holds an Associate degree in Business Administration from Mt. Wachusett Community College in Gardner, MA. She lives in Williamston with her daughter Chloe and dog Snowflake. She enjoys running, yoga, family, friends and Lake Michigan.
Diane’s voice is usually the first one you hear when calling Voss Insurance Services. She moved to mid-Michigan in the fall of 2006 with her husband and has established residence in Holt. She has two sons, one in college and one who works in environmental testing. Diane enjoys spending time with family (Illinois) and old friends (many in Wisconsin) and now learning about the Michigan area.
Jerre joined Voss Insurance Services after retiring as Risk Manager for Michigan State University where she worked for over 25 years. She has also served as temporary risk manager for Ingham Medical Center and handled insurance specifications and bid processes for hospital and religious organizations. Jerre reviews all policies issued by companies prior to them being submitted to our customers. Jerre’s extensive wealth of knowledge and attention to detail provides our customers with a unique service and level of quality unheard of in the industry. Jerre is widowed but enjoys spending time with her two children, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She also enjoys reading, volunteer work and knitting.
Ann has been in the insurance industry since 2003 and has already developed niche skills working with the unique needs of smaller accounts and certain industries. She also has a background in customer service and accounting. Ann is an active member and officer (2nd Vice President) of the Insurance Women of Lansing. She lives in Lansing with her husband and family of cats. She enjoys gardening and has traveled extensively to ride and evaluate the roller coasters of America. There are not many that she has missed.
Paula has a B.S. from MSU in Natural Resources Management. After graduation, Paula accepted a job in South Carolina and subsequently met her husband. After a period of time, she convinced her husband to move back to Michigan and changed careers to insurance. Paula has the longest tenure of all our CSRs (1995). She has two young boys and enjoys camping, quilting, gardening, raising chickens and lambs, and also volunteers for Ingham County Fair and Eden United Brethren Church.
After graduating with a B.A. in Accounting from MSU, Pat began his career in public accounting working for Ernst & Young. After four years, he left public accounting to work “in the real world” and was a hands-on CFO in manufacturing for fifteen years. During the last seven years of this period he was also the president and part owner of a fabrication shop. Pat is married, has four children and resides in Holt. He enjoys sports, hunting, fishing and playing guitar.
